| Note: when you delete an email address, you also immediately delete all emails, folders, tasks, and appointments in the mailbox. You cannot recover this afterwards not. Therefore, only delete an email address if you are sure you no longer need these files! |
Follow these steps to delete an email address.
Go to the email address in your email management page
- Log in to your email management page via my.soverin.net.
- Click on Domains in the menu on the left and select your domain name
- Click on Email accounts in the menu on the left.
- You will now see a list of all email accounts for the domain.
Deactivate the email address
- Before you can delete an email address, you must first deactivate this email address. Find the email address you want to delete in the list.
- Click on the slider to the right of the email address under Active.
- The slider will then turn grey and a purple trash can will appear next to it.
- The email address is now deactivated. You can no longer log in to this email address. The mailbox will still be retained.
Delete the email address
- Do you want to delete the email address permanently? Then click on the trash can.
- You will now see a warning screen.
- Are you sure you want to delete the email address? Then click OK. This will delete the email address, including all folders, messages, tasks, and appointments in the mailbox. You cannot recover this afterwards
The email address has now been deleted.
