Create an account

The first step is to create an account by registering an email address.

A single account can contain multiple mailboxes, which is useful for families or anyone managing more than one email address. You decide how many additional mailboxes you want to add, and you can always create more later.

Create your account at:

When creating a Soverin account, you have three options:

  • Use an existing domain name
Connect a domain name you already own to your Soverin account. You keep full control of both your email address and your domain name.
  • Register a new domain name
Register a new domain name during account creation. Your email address will use your own unique domain name. It belongs to you and stays yours, so you remain in control and can always take your email address with you if you decide to switch providers.
  • Use a Soverin domain
The quickest way to get started with Soverin email. You don't need your own domain name and can start using your mailbox right away. If you decide to use your own domain later, you can always add one from within your account.

Use an existing domain name

Already own a domain name? You can use it with your Soverin account.

Your domain name is everything after the @ in your email address. The last part, after the final dot, is called the domain extension (for example, .com, .nl, or .de). The part before the @ is your username, such as your first name, info, or sales.

Register a new domain name

Don't have your own domain name yet? You can register one while creating your account.

See Domain registration: options and pricing for an overview of the domain extensions we support.

Registering a domain name does not mean you also need a website. Your domain name works perfectly well on its own for email.

Use a Soverin domain

If you choose a Soverin domain, you'll register an email address on a Soverin domain using the extension of your choice (such as .nl, .be, or .de). As soon as your email address is registered, you can start using it immediately.

Want to switch to your own domain later? You can register a new domain or add an existing one to your account at any time.

There's no need to stop using your old email address right away. You can use both addresses side by side and gradually update your email address to your new Soverin address whenever you sign in to websites and services.

Connect your apps

Once your account has been created, you can use the settings in IMAP and SMTP settings and Set up Calendar and Contacts to connect your favourite apps.

Soverin does not provide its own email app. You can access your account and email through my.soverin.net or use any email application that supports standard email protocols.
