You can use your e-mail in two ways:
- Via my.soverin.net in your browser
- With a mail app on your phone or computer (Soverin does not have its own app, but you can simply use your favourite mail app.)
In this guide, we give you the correct IMAP and SMTP settings to set up your Soverin e-mail address in your own mail app.
Add a new account
Open the settings of your mail app, add a new account, and enter this information.
| Field | Enter this |
| Full name | Your name |
| E-mail address |
Your full Soverin e-mail address (e.g. name@yourdomain.eu) |
| Password | Your password |
| Important: Your Soverin e-mail address (e.g. name@yourdomain.eu) is also your username. |

Enter this for the server that retrieves your mail:
| Field | Enter this |
| Account type | IMAP |

Outgoing e-mail (SMTP)

| Outgoing mail server | smtp.soverin.net |
| Use only this server | Check |
| Use authentication | Check |
| Username | Your Soverin e-mail address |

Good to know
IMAP means your mail stays on the server. This way you see the same mail on your phone, laptop, and tablet.
| Important: If you delete an e-mail in your mail app, it will also be deleted from the server. That e-mail will then no longer be available in your other apps or the Soverin Webmail. |
